I tell stories with pictures. I am known for candid portrait photography, and shoot things I’m passionate about, like food, cycling, or (never often enough) backcountry skiing. I love the process of making, and throw myself wholeheartedly into each new project.

My work has been recognized in the PDN Photo Annual and The Magenta Foundation’s Compendium of the best Canadian Photographers (Yes, I am Canadian. And Dutch. But mostly American). I’ve been awarded the Johnson & Johnson/ICP traveling fellowship, and exhibited at Jen Bekman and ICP in NYC.

My films have screened at 20+ festivals worldwide, including Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Melbourne Documentary Film Festival, Kendal Mountain Festival, and The Bicycle Film Festival.
