I started 9W back in 2010, when I was spending (arguably) too much time riding and racing bicycles. The name comes from route 9W, a road that parallels the Hudson River to its west. It's cyclists’ best-known escape route from New York City, and a springboard to farther-flung cycling adventures. Accordingly, the book featured stories both local and from around the world. I printed three issues, and ran an eponymous blog (that was a thing then). These days it’s pared down to an Instagram feed.
